What is Imperfect Happiness?
This site is the creation of long-time best friends who realized that the popular lifestyle blogs they often visited were becoming increasingly detached from the lives most women lead. The majority of us do not have a regular ticket to New York Fashion Week, we don’t have time to dye napkins to match the theme of our latest cocktail party, and we don’t work from our spacious, somehow permanently immaculate home. What was once presented as aspirational began to feel seemingly impossible to attain, and appeared to focus on portraying perfection at the expense of retaining sanity.
Imperfect Happiness is a place to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly, rather than just the carefully curated. Whether the topic is fashion, food, relationships or health, we aim to approach it with honesty, probably humor, and the belief that you can still have joy, even if you don’t have it all figured out.
Emily is an aspiring writer and photographer trying to figure out how to transition from her full-time job into a more creative life. She loves reading and attempting yoga, cuddling with her cat, Trish, and traveling both solo and with her husband while enjoying live music and craft beer.
Cait works in a cube farm by day and is an avid consumer of fashion magazines, books, wine, and gluten-free pizza. She tries to work out but sometimes ends up snuggled on the couch with her dog Elsa and watching Netflix instead. Cait has traveled around the world and can’t wait to get to the next new destination.
